. . . . . .
We look forward to you joining us now on Sunday, 20 September and bringing more riders with you. Can you get them to add that extra £30 sponsorship so we can try and double our usual help to charities.
For joining before the day we ask for a donation. There is also that magic box you can tick to allow us -- if you are a tax payer -- to collect Gift Aid. You can use the PayPal link on this page to make your donation but be sure to enter the payment reference number on your form. Remember -- your best handwriting!
An entry form is required for every rider. The 2020 entry information is here for information now with a new form being added in due course. Our entry forms are fillable using the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (note the “DC”). This can be downloaded from https://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/ Complete, save, print and then post to us at the address shown. If you prefer, you can complete the form 'on screen' before saving it with a title including your surname. Then attach this to an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Make sure to include in the message your name and a PayPal reference if you have used that to donate. You will receive our entry pack which includes number, route map, entry card to bring on the day and that very important sponsorship sheet.
The big push again this year is for all riders to get sponsored so we can help even more charities. If every rider managed £30 in sponsorship it would mean tens of thousands of pounds -- plus that Gift Aid. We very much value that entry donation but if every rider managed sponsorship it would make a huge difference!
Please bring a completed entry form with you which helps us to speedily get you ready to ride. We have hundeds of cyclists join us on the day and that great effort to get you all entered and underway is a challenge but worth it.
It could be even more rewarding for us if 'on the day' riders also pledged to raise that sponsorship especially as we have the PayPal link. Use the link, e-mail us with your contact details, rider number and PayPal reference number.
PayPal donations has already been very busy for the April date. This is how to use it for September.
Download and complete a form when available. Decide on your donation and then push the PayPal button to make the donation using your own PayPal account or by credit or debit card. It's as easy as that.
For family or team entries decide on the donation for each rider and then make the single payment for all of them via PayPal -- making sure please that the person paying is eligible to tick that Gift Aid Box.
Write the PayPal payment reference number where we ask on the entry form which you post or send to us.
We would be ultra pleased to have even more riders offering to raise sponsorship money using Virgin Moneygiving.
Those that used this way enjoyed telling their friends and family about their challenge and then making it very easy for those supporters to contribute.
Click on the Virgin Moneygiving symbol above and you will be taken to their easy to understand web site. All is explained there.
Look for Gravesend Rotary Club Service Fund as the charity to support and then the 'On Your Bike' event page where we tell everyone about our great cycle ride and how we have been able to achieve so much with pedal power!
Send links to your page to your friends and family and also tell them through other social media giving them your links too.
Every pound helps us to help others from our major beneficiary to smaller local charities and wider.
Remember that careful handwriting -- it raised over £2,000 for us last year!
Said to be the best organised cycle ride in the South East ..... and beyond!...
